2018 Powderhorn Athlete Information

UPDATED JULY 27 – 8:00 PM

Course & Race Day Info

Location: Powderhorn Mountain Resort – Mesa, CO

All riders will race 3 stages. Stages will be primarily lift-accessed, with very little climbing.

  • All timing chips must be worn on the right wrist
  • Athletes must come by timing tent at the bottom of each stage to offload stage times
  • Athletes should be conscious about standing near the start and finish structures before their run begins.
  • All timing chips must be returned after the race is finished. If you don’t turn in your timing chip we will have to chase you down, and may charge you. Don’t make us do that.
  • Juniors – Based on athlete feedback during practice day, the start for stage 3 for juniors will be moved to begin below the second rock garden (where the trail opens up into a field). This will affect Junior Boys and Girls, U18 and U15.
  • Juniors – Based on the change above, please stay with your group. Every other category will drop before you on stage three, then the start will be moved, then you will begin racing.
  • Unofficial results can be viewed online HERE.
